Madeline the Mouse has been day dreaming this week of a trip to France. She would love to visit Giverny, and the home of Claude Monet, and munch on a fresh baguette with goat cheese....
How perfectly delightful...
(sigh)....a girl can dream....
...She'll have to wake up sometime, I guess....
I have been working on my Madeline character this week....I guess when I drew Madeline the Mouse daydreaming, she wasn't the only one....

ahh...paris is a dream of mine as well...i want to get lost on those streets and just breathe it in on the arm of someone special...sip coffee/tea at a cafe and just watch...so much artistry there...lovely sketch...

I'm not in the Claude Monet region but the Charente-Maritime and it is just as beautiful... we'll do lunch, baguette, pate, cheese yummy salade with fresh tomatoes from the garden with of course a very nice glass of wine.... would you like red or white or a fruity little Rose? ReplyDeleteOh Heather this is so wonderful! She has soooo much character I love those poses and that you drew the pencils too, it's like she's popping right off the page!!! Your work is always so bright and fun I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteMadeline is one of my favorite characters of yours. She is very French in her black trousers and striped shirt. Her daydreaming pose is pitch perfect and so adorable. This would make a cute card in it's worked up, finished version.
