One Cute Chick
8" x 9" inches
Watercolor
It's Friday and it's time to
break out of your shell,
and head over to
I saw the cutest little photograph of baby animals in my daughter's Scholastic magazine the other day.
I immediately thought I had to paint the baby chick and bring her to life...
See you at the party!

Oh I love the little chick. She's so cute....and the lady bug too.
ReplyDeletePerfect spring time illustration, so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHeather, What a delightful little chick. Is that a lucky little lady bug? What a great detail.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous - she really is one cute chick!!
ReplyDeleteCan i ask do you scan your work onto the computer and if so how do you manage to retain the texture of the watercolour paper so clearly - when I scan watercolours you can't see that it is watercolour paper on my blog?
Yes, Heather that really is one cute chick! :-)
ReplyDeleteis that the queen of cuteness? a very nice spring (easter) pic!
ReplyDeleteWell...that isone CUTE chick! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteAdorable and the addition of the ladybug is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteperfect for easter, too!
ReplyDeleteShe deserves a crown for cuteness! How could the little ladybug even suspect that spring would burst forth in such a snazzy fashion? :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute chickie! :) Love the pink crown. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is one CUTE chick!!!! I have no other words because I'm soaking in all the cuteness. We just got some baby chicks for egg laying and they are growing so fast. This painting reminds me of what they looked like only four weeks ago! So CUTE.

ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable baby chick! I love the little lady bug on the egg shell. It amazes me how you make these little drawings look so good. I try making cute little animals and they look like a kindergartner drew them. lol
