Sunday Sketches - Just a a lazy summer day....


One thing I love about summer...is
The lazy days, when it's all about laying on a big snuggly blanket
reading a favorite book, and doing a little ....
daydreaming
watching the clouds go by
watching the fireworks
counting fireflies
oh! and wishing upon a star!

I have sketched this out - and I am going to color it either as an evening scene or an afternoon scene...
so, for now it's just a sketch, and I am going to share it with the Sunday Sketch gang over at
 The Blue Chair Diary....

    Day Dreaming for sure, love laying on a blanket under a tree in the Summer. This will be fabulous when finished.

    I'd love to be laying on a blanket under a tree somewhere, purhaps even getting a bit of a tan on this pale skin. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Have a great day.

    Now that you have it scanned, I say print it out and do both! Wheee!

    I just love your characters and she is super hip and cute all rolled into one. She can do whatever she wants....dream or wish, she has it made........

    Cute sketch! I think daydreaming during a lazy afternoon would fit better, with the book laying there.

    This is looking really cute. I am really interested in seeing how you finish it, as I tend to work on background to main interest but I am really stumped on a painting as I can't visualize the background and thought of doing it the other way around. Have a great 4th. :)

    Definitely wishing upon a star! I just think it would look more magical that way. But whatever you choose I'm sure it will look great. You can't make that cute little guy look bad!

    I love it. So fun just the way it is but can't wait to see it colored all the way either. It is not often I get a lazy day but when I do I agree - with a book under a tree. Happy 4th!

    Ohhh that's too cute can't wait to see it finished. As for me I'm day dreaming about summer, it's soooooo horrible and cold over here at the moment I'm becoming a hermit!!! Enjoy your lovely summer I'm very jealous ;0)
