Turkey



I've got TURKEY on my mind this week - planning the Annual Thanksgiving menu is at the top of the agenda. I've got the usual suspects covered, but I am still trying to come up with some fun menu ideas. Any suggestions?
And, on another note, the girls and I went to Michael's Crafts to get some "turkey" things to make for the kids table  -  and the Manager told us they sold out of Thanksgiving things in August - And I actually thought I was planning ahead - oh well!

I will keep looking!
PS - I am just a bit obsessed with the color combo of purple, yellow and orange right now!

    ha they will have easter stuff up soon....smiles. hope you have fun planning out the turkey day!! traveling to the in laws so we have it easy this year.

    Sold out in August? There's just something WRONG with that! ha. I was in Big Lots the first week of October and they had Christmas music playing. It was a little disturbing. lol...

    My grandson's girl friend brought stuffed acorn squash last year and it was a wonderful addition to the meal. I'm sure that if you're interested there's a recipe online. Good luck finding something to make for the kid's table. I haven't seen anything for Thanksgiving table decorating at all this year. You're creative so I've no doubt you'll think of something. Hugs

    I think anything sweet would do. I'm always in favor of sweet potato pie, though.

    I do like the combo of purple, yellow and orange, it's inviting

    Hi Heather, love your last few posts, sorry I haven't been around much lately.... and the shops will tell you there is no demand....hope you get it sorted... if you do nibbles with drinks...how about some tapas....then you don't have to worry about a starter...hope all goes well..

    Wow sold out in August. Business is real good in Micheal's or lot and lots of folk were preparing stuff to sell . Really cute sketch. Love the turkey on the shirt.
