Stop and Smell...The Park Avenue "Roses"

It's winter here in New York City, but along Park Avenue, everything is coming up roses. "The Roses" a public sculpture by artist Will Ryman is now on display for all to see. Running along the Park Avenue Malls between 57th and 67th Streets, "The Roses" are a feast for winter's dreary eyes. I was so very excited when I read about this in the Wall Street Journal, I just had to see them!

There are 38 pink and red roses, weighing in at approximately 250 pounds each.

"The Roses" are adorned with over sized lady bugs, beetles and ants

Ok, Mr. Ryman, you made my day! I Love this!

How about one of these beautiful blossoms outside Rose Hill Designs'  studio window ?
It may be January along Park Avenue, but it's a spring surprise for our eyes!

Now that's a Valentine's bouquet!

"Don 't hurry. Don't worry. You're only here for a short visit. So don't forget to stop and smell the roses. "

Walter Hagen

The art installation runs through May
