Creative Tuesdays - Bedtime

One of my favorite art challenges is Creative Tuesdays with Mr. Toast over at his blog, Hot Toast and Jam. It's a bi-weekly challenge and we are given a single word prompt. This week's prompt...is bedtime! Around my house, bedtime is a time for me and my girls to snuggle up and read a few of our favorite books together. We are currently reading Charlotte's Web and bedtime wouldn't be complete without a reading of Pinkalicious!
How about you, any favorite bedtime books?

Also, Madeline is getting ready to snuggle up in her little pink slippers and nightgown, just in time for bed.
She's now available, here.

So grab your slippers and cozy pj's and come join us over at Creative Tuesdays...
See you there!

This is so adorable. I especially love the little mouse in the pink nightgown. It reminds me of my daughter when she was little. (Not that she looked like a mouse But you know what I mean)
Very cute!

Oh how cute! all ready for bed
:-) Our favorite stories were always Dr. Suess books. The Lorax is one that is not that well known but one of our favorites.

She's darling, she shy, she is adorable in her pink nightgown.

Your drawings pull the heart strings, and reach down to the child in all of us.

Thanks!

Bedtime means lots of fun books around here too... One of our favorite series to read as a family is Geronimo Stilton (he's a mouse too, but Madeline is my favorite!)

Oh these are wonderful paintings.
I like the details of the bedtime and Madeline is her nightie is beautiful- very feminine.
At the moment we are reading Did you know facts - with son and Little women - with daughter ( but I think she does not follow it and just likes the activity of doing it together) :)

Hi Heather,
This is wonderful, I used to love tucking my girlies up in bed and snuggling for a story. Loved Charlotte's Web.. Two of my favourites are Threadbear and Possum Magic...

So adorable. I love the little teddy bear to the left and that bed frame is amazing. Love how you've illustrated it.

What a wonderful tradtion you have with your girls. I was the same way with my 3 children when they were littel. So loved that time. Loved to read, "Goodnight Moon" or something like that. :)

Heather, these are so sweet! I'm loving the watercolor shadows you've created. You are right up there with Beatrix Potter my friend! Did you ever see that movie "Miss Potter" with Renee Zellweger? Love that movie it was so inspiring to me!

So sweet - we had a book which I must have passed on...with little animals that you would take out one by one and tuck into their respective beds. I found it at a local children's 2nd hand shop.
I wished I still had it! sigh.
Now we read our own books :)

Hey Heather, I think you've captured the cosyness so well, its making me sleepy. Not that my pj's look like that (I have more frills on mine) :)

Your work is coming along in leaps and bounds
