Sunday Sketches - ...It's Time for a Picnic

It's a beautiful June day here, and we've got plans to sit
outside under our willow tree and have a picnic
...just like Madeline the Mouse...

What are you up to on this gorgeous June day?

It's also time for Sunday Sketches! This is a sketch of something I am working on...
I plan on adding a friend for Madeline and some more goodies....
Come join the fun over at The Blue Chair Diary with Sophia and the gang, grab a pencil and a sketchbook and I will meet you there!

I love your characters...full of awesome and cuteness. Yesterday in Indiana we were at 98 degrees....I'd like today to be a bit cooler so I can have a picnic!!!

Love this sketch, Madeline looks so feminine. Enjoy your picnic, we finally have a nice day again today and maybe a BBQ would be in order.

Madeline is her usual cute self. Having a picnic sounds like a great idea, if the thunder clouds ever go away that is. Have a sunny Sunday. Hugs

Well I'm taking Madeline's advice, and inviting my daughter's family over for a picnic in our back yard.

Apple pie in the oven, and turkey breast ready to go in when the pie comes out.

If I want to feel good, have a lift, and a smile... I come and visit you and Madeline. Love the love that comes from your drawings.

She looks adorable!
Is it watercolors? Copics/Promarkers?... Either way, it looks great!

Very cute Heather! I love it as I do all of your illustrations. Thanks for commenting on my blog...yes, I was in New York during that heat wave. The only drawback in an otherwise fantastic day. I often come to New York with my hubby--for lunch. He works at Usairways and the shuttle goes back and forth to NYC every hour and we fly free. A simple half hour flight, to have some of the best pizza in the world!! Next time we have to meet up!!! :-)

Your plans sound lovely. We've been enjoying the breeze through the open windows and are getting ready to indulge in some cocktails.

My word, you are gifted! I would give anything to have a a box of cards with your sketches...

Do you have an Etsy account?

You take me to another land... fantasy, which is the best place to be.
