Sunday Sketches - Proud as a Peacock

Good Morning, my friends

This week my little Saylor finished her art camp....
She was so very proud of each and every project that came home.( and so was I)

I love seeing kids explore art...they have no hesitation, no fear....
just plain old-fashioned imagination...
Don't you just love that?

I was inspired by her to create this sketch for Sunday Sketches....
she was so excited by all of the different mediums she got to use,
but her favorite was the oil pastels...and her prize project....

The Indian Peacock in Oil Pastels.
( my version isn't as good...)

We have over 15 pieces of beautiful artwork now!
Hey, I want to go to Art Camp!
Do they have camp for adults?
hmmmm????

So, come join the fun over at The Blue Chair Diary for another week of Sunday Sketches!
See you there!

I'll bet art camp will become one of those fond memories from childhood that Saylor will keep. I love the sketch you did of her and her art work. Have a great Sunday.

Lovely picture and I am glad she had such a great time at art camp, I would love to go to one of those, too! Perhaps we have to create one for ourselves?! Valerie

Oh how lovely! What a wonderful time she must have had. I had read on the net a art camp/course held by a American watercolourlist in some place in France. I suggested my hubby send me.. but alas I am still here :) Have a great Sunday :)

I am trying to encourage my son to do more art, but he'd rather be kicking a ball about or playing on the computer. That's fine though. He's also fascinated by atoms at the moment and likes telling me all about them!

Your drawings are always so fresh and lively and bring a smile to my face Heather :)

I guess you do not have your email turn on or else I would reply to your comment by email.

sounds like it was a fun camp trip.

sweet illustration to commemorate your d's experience.

I've thought about doing an art workshop sometime. I guess that would be like an art camp?

Great idea......adult art camp; let's start one!
