Creative Tuesdays - Underwater

The theme at Creative Tuesday's this week is Underwater....
I first shared this sketch with my friends at Sunday Sketches.
Since Sunday, I have colored her with pen and ink and have begun experimenting with digital color!

Well, we believe in Mermaids here at my house. The girls and I make up "tales" about ourselves as mermaids...and our fishy friends all living underwater out in the Atlantic, somewhere far off the coast.

I have always imagined a magical place existed underwater -
Coral castles and treasure chests are plentiful here in our "underwater" world...

Wouldn't it be fun to explore their world?
(Maybe in a future sketch!)

See you at Creative Tuesdays!

When I saw her on Sunday, I wondered if she might come back on Tuesday! She's adorable! The colors are great, too. I love her scales and fluffy hair!

She's the perfect mermaid. Loved her on Sunday but the changes make a big difference. We believe in mermaids too. Have a great week. Hugs

I'm not sure it is possible for me to imagine being underwater. Because...you know.

Sharks...

Call it a testament to both my way overactive imagination AND Steven Spielberg's talent, but, I haven't been underwater since 1977.

I can just hear the song..."Under the Sea.... Under the sea.

She is so beautiful, I want to go swimming with her and have her show me all her wonders under the sea!

Great entry...I'm glad someone else believes in mermaids.

Yes, it really is wonderful, Heather. My heart swells as I look at his piece--adorable. I love the simplicity shown in the opaque round bubbles and the mermaid's face. In fact, hers is one of the most darling little faces you've ever rendered. I love the splash of red and even that little line for movement. so effective. Ty Heather. One of your bests I think..and that is saying something. this really captures my heart.

I haven't visited your blog in a while, but this caught my eye. It is so cute and intriging, like you say. I really should get back to participating in Sunday Sketches again. Blessings!

Really nice mermaid. I love how you enable your girl's imagination like that. Totally something I would do. I just think that is great and more parents should do the same. Thanks
