Creative Tuesdays - Christmas in July




It's Christmas in July over at Creative Tuesdays.
I do love illustrating Christmas and all of the good tidings associated with it.
It's one of my favorite holidays.
For a long time, I have been wanting to create a little character sketch of each of the eight reindeer.
I thought I would start with Rudolph

    smiles...really cute...i like the simple fluid geometry of his head...it adds a gentle touch....wow hard to think about christmas...smiles.

    Oh, I love this! A whole set will be so fun. They would make great gift tags or ornaments, too! What a neat idea!

    Rudolph is going to love this painting you did of him. Betsy is right, a set of these would be great done up as ornaments or gift tags.

    He is adorable with his lovely red nose. Looks like quite a character as well. It will be interesting to see the rest of the reindeer.

    Rudolph is adoarable, Heather. Love that twinkle on his nose! Ty for doing this. Def makes me feel very festive. It's perfect.

    BTw, you know that an ad artist with Montgomery Ward started Rudolph for their xmas sales and it took off from there?! so, whether meant or not, another tie in to the xmas in july sales! :)
