Counting rainbows....

Do you ever notice how some people count rainbows and others count thunderstorms? Granted, we all complain at some point.  We all have bad days, we all are going through REAL events, we are all grown-ups with a ton of responsibility... Our lives can get cloudy and turn gray, but as soon as we start seeing ALL of the good things, the sun comes back out and our world can be filled with color again.

I've counted many storms this past year....but when I sit down and count ALL of the rainbows in my world, I can smile and feel good and my life shines again!

Just like the rainbow after the storm....

It's SO much better so see life in colored rays of sunshine, rather than a continual cloudy day....
don't you think? And if you do start counting rainbows with me, I promise you will be happier!

Make A Colorful St. Patricks Day Card

The girls and I always make our own
St. Patrick's Day cards.

This year we have created colorful postcards to send to our friends and family.
These cards are really easy and fun to make out of basic watercolors.
Using each of the colors of the rainbow ( ROYGBIV) we carefully painted our watercolor stripes along a piece of 5"x7"  watercolor paper.
We then let it dry and scanned it into the computer.

Next we added one of our favorite quotes to each one of our cards in Photoshop.
We all chose different quotes.
Our finished postcards are all ready to be mailed.
I think we will throw a few "gold coins" in the envelope for good luck!

and the best part, these fun cards can also be
put in a little frame as a reminder to always look on the bright side of life!
