Summer afternoon - summer afternoon;

 to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language...

It's the time of year when friends drop by, rather than a glass of wine or cold beer, offer up this quick and easy cocktail...It will make lounging on the porch or patio a real summer treat!

Planter's Punch

(this is my dad's recipe and it is DELICIOUS)

1/2 ounce Myers's Rum Original Dark

1 ounce White Rum ( I use Bacardi)

2 ounces orange juice

2 ounces pineapple juice

a dash of Grenadine

and an orange slice for garnish.

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.

Add ice. Shake. Pour into tall glass. Sit back.
