Magic is Mesmerizing

I tried to GIMP last night, after a friend suggested I play around with my artwork on it. It's a free program, that you can download and play with...lots of fun!

what started as a sketch...

got colored with markers
and then became
this with a colored background and cape

it was fun to try something new!
She has a purple background in honor of National Alzheimer's Day (today)
and it's also my entry for
Illustration Friday's word of the week, mesmerizing.
I have always considered magicians to be mesmerizing....

Fabulous piece to honor those we have known with Alzheimer's. Too many lives touched by this disease.
