Let Love Warm Your Heart

Remember that song, "I've got my Love to keep me Warm..."
Well, Love really can keep you warm....
So the next time you are feeling down and low....and cold and lonely
close your eyes and think about something or someone you LOVE....
let that LOVE warm you and your heart.....

Hello....November

Well, October flew by didn't it? I have been somewhat of a neglectful mom, to this blog, I must say. Work has been so crazy, and the girls have been keeping me quite busy as well. I was able to do a ton of drawing in October, but never quite managed to bring it over here, to you, my blog friends.

I guess you can say that I feel like my blog needs a bit of a face lift, a modernization, - I guess I have been  brainstorming ideas, but haven't been able to put it all together yet. I think I really need an intern! Someone that can help with my day to day business ( blog, Facebook, marketing, Etsy) I feel like I am at the place in my art, that an intern could be helpful!

Anyway, I am going to share some of my most favorite illustrations from the month of October with you all....Do you know, I post a new one every day on Facebook, so if you are on Facebook - Come on by and say, HI!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these, and they make up for my absence!

Hugs to You ALL and thanks for sticking around!

We can ALL fly....

When I first sketched this I was inspired by my girls playing dress up.  I was thinking, how no matter what our age, we all want to be superheros or princesses, or filled with magical powers.....Then as I added her arms and her motion of flying, I got to thinking about her arms and cape as wings.....and the feeling that we all want to fly too.....and then I realized, you know what?

We Can!

Yes, we can all fly. We all are given wings to fly and in order to become the person that we want to be we have to take a chance and use our wings!
The world has so many wonderful adventures to offer, places to see, things to be, and  if we just take the leap we will embark on a beautiful journey!

I am off to use my wings today!

Care to join me?

We will also be munching on Chicken Fingers aka "Gator Tails"
It should be a fun evening, no doubt!

How about you will you watch The Oscars?
For me, I personally love the commentary before and I will definitely be tuning into
E! Live from the Red Carpet to see all of the glamour!

PS - I am also sharing this sketch with my friends over at Sunday Sketches

It's a Good Day....

It's a cloudy, cool almost fall morning and I am excited to have my new STARBUCKS coffee mug, and one of my favorite magazines in hand - The Martha Stewart Halloween Issue. It's jammed packed with beautiful spooky images and inspiring ideas for costumes, decorations and devilish treats....Yes, It's a Good Day!

How about you? What are you up to today?
