Sunday Sketches - Life is Beautiful

Hello and Good Morning to you!
We've had the ocean on our minds here, ever since we returned from our trip to the coast last week. 
 The girls love mermaids and I was playing around with a sketch of one for Summer's room...
So, here is a the initial sketch


 - I quickly colored her digitally to share with my friends at Sunday Sketches...
 but I am thinking of  painting her in watercolor  her first,
 and then adding color digitally.

And of course, I had to add one of my most favorite quotes!
Life is beautiful
isn't it....?

    This is a WONDERFUL and brilliant piece by you, Heather. I love seeing you branch out into different ideas, although Madeline the Mouse is so incredibly adorable. I think your style fits pretty much any idea! Keep it up, girl!!! :) xx

    Sorry I am late getting around to check out Sunday Sketches this week... it is always hard to come back to real life after a visit to the coast, but this is a wonderful way of extending that...xx
