Sunday Sketches - I Love Someone with Rett Syndrome

I am thinking about my dear friends and their daughter Ysa, who suffers from Rett Syndrome.
This is a quick sketch of Ysa's sister, Ellie, letting everyone know how much she loves her sister!

It's amazing how deep a sister's love can be...

The fundraiser was last night and over 175 people turned out to support The International Rett Syndrome Foundation, we danced the night away for a GREAT cause!

Happy Sunday

What a wonderful sketch, it does say a lot. I have not heard of Rett Syndrome so will have to google it.

Hi Heather,

I just added you to the top of the list. I'm sorry I'm just getting around to visit - still not feeling well at ALL. Ugh! :(

I adore your sketch. So precious and full of life and reality. Thank you for being a part of another Sunday Sketch. I appreciate it.

Hugs!

Hey Heather! This is so wonderful and moving. I just learned so much about rhett syndrome from your blog. Ysa will be in my prayers along with her loving sister Ellie. You really captured something wonderful here. I'm glad there was a great turnout for the fundraiser. God bless

Lovely sketch, and so heart tugging! I understand, being a cancer patient myself. For kids it is difficult, they suffer along with the family. My prayers are with you and your friends!

I had not known about Rett Syndrome, so now I am better educated. The sketch is sweet and invokes such heartfelt emotion.

Oh my goodness Heather - I've been trying to get to your blog for hours - I've had so much trouble with my keyboard - spilled tea on it like an idiot - now my new laptop has to get sent in for repair, so I'm at the desktop now - finally able to comment on your wonderful posts! I also had to compose myself, I really teared up with this one. My heart goes out to your friend and little Ysa, they will all be in my prayers. My 16 yr. old son has dealt with hemophilia his whole life, which isn't easy - but Rhett Syndrome sounds so very hard, it gives new meaning to challenge on a whole new level. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must be. What a sweet sister Ellie is too. Your sketch captures that tenderness and spirit perfectly, it's lovely. So glad you are part of SS, I hope to come back next time! Also, did you just become my new follower as hilstuf? If so, thanks a bunch! I see I'm your follower, I'm following over 200 blogs, so I forget some who aren't my 'regulars' - If not, just ignore what I said! I just can't tell for sure because the avatar and name are different from your blog and there's no link to your blog - sorry to ramble so much, somethings never change. Now to see your other posts!
